Grade: 3-4, pool drop, continuous towards the end

Put In: Leave a vehicle in the parking area on the left next to the Ceres Nature Reserve as you drive into Ceres. Cross the road and follow foot path around the edge of the golf course, over the rail way line and get on the water at the weir.

Take out: 1) Climb out on river right after 10m waterfall and follow railway back to the golf course.

2) Climb out at the confluence of the Wit Els, the first river flowing in from the river left.

Length & Time: 7km, 2-4 hours

Access: Wildcard

Travel: 1 and ½ hours from Cape Town.

Directions: Drive as if you going to the Wit. After  Tweede Tol continue straight and follow the signs to Ceres. When driving from Ceres it is the only left turn into a picnic area.

Levels: just before Ceres stop at the last parking on the right. Have a look at the waterfall to gauge level. Do not attempt when flooding.

Warnings: This river is very polluted at the beginning of the season.
